What’s Good World?!?! It’s B. Hawk checkin in again with a new review of my man Sincere’s new single, “Go Girl”. Let me first just start off by saying this joint is fire!! We worked with Sincere in the past, and I have to say he has really progressed as an artist. A record has to be good for me to listen multiple times, and I must say, I listened to it 3 times in a row! I feel if @Sinceremusiq and his team pushes this record consistantly, it could take off and he would put Richmond VA on the map for R&B. I’m not familiar with Eddie Vanz, but he did alright on the record, and hopefully he’ll keep rapping so I can hear more material and have more to say about him. GO GIRL – SINCERE EDWARDS Feat. Eddie Vanz

Another one from David Rousseau. Simple video. Concept was cool. Throw a concert on a rooftop and have the entire block come to a halt with pleasantly surprised spectators. I give a ‘good job’.

It’s been long over due. A lot of people might not really like this guy on the outside. But you damn sure know EVERYONE f* with this guy on the inside. After a long announced sabbatical from the music limelight, it seems Kanye West is planning his return. I’ve heard some features with him and other artists in the interim, but this seems to be his “official” leak.

At first listen, I’m not too impressed with the lyrics or his flow. But as usual, production is a major problem. This means all producers out there better step their game up if they’ve been slacking while Kanye was taking a break. Damn, I wish I made that beat. He’s got an ability to sniff out the right sample to drive a song. That chanting chorus sample creates the feel for this track. Dope. Or could it just be the wake ‘n bake heightening my music senses? I’m going to revisit this song again later to see if I feel the same way. I’m inspired to make a beat now. I’m out. Let me know what YOU think of this song.

Diddy on the Intro…Rick’s new Manager – Diddy just talkin shit as usual but I feel he can do that, he’s put his work in.

I’ve never really been a huge fan of dirty south beats but Ross is killing that sound right now. All around he’s a great rapper, simply
because he can rip a southern beat and go head to head with Jay-Z, Jadakiss, or Fabolous on a NYC beat.

“B.M.F” – Having Stylez P. feature on that was very surprising to me…it sounded good though.

“All I Need” ft. Trey Songz & Baby – of course its dope with the homie Trey on it, I just wished his vocals were mixed down…but I guess you
still get the point

“Sweet Life” – Ross’s flow sounded like Tupac for a second……listen to it again…. “Sippin Wong Tong all the way from Hung Kong” LOL that was too funny!!

“Super High” – produced by DJ Clark Kent – just a dope summer time record especially riding in the Ferrari

My honest opinion about this EP, it’s not his greatest body of work….but I am anxiously awaiting the album “Teflon Don” coming July

I really have to say this is ridiculous!! I mean the homie Drake’s album has almost come out single by single, which leads me to think is this real?? Does Cash Money/Universal really not have this leaking issue under control?? Are they ok with the fact the anticipation is fading away because the public has heard the majority of this heavily anticipated album. I feel a certain demographic will still support it when it comes out in stores, but I feel they should go ahead and drop it June 1st. Whoever is leaking these records must really be getting paid a pretty penny.

Enough my thoughts lets get into this particular Drake record featuring Jay-Z:

- I always critique beats first since I am a producer first, and I must say this joint is FIRE, its nothing groundbreaking, but for records like this the beat is perfect. Shoutout to whoever produced it!!
- I really like the story telling type of records, and Drake did his thing, so did Jay.
- Some of you upcoming artists should study Drake and Jay for that fact because when they rap, they make you think about what’s being said multiple times, that’s when you know the record is dope.
- The Windows7 analogy is just plain good…Jay-Z verse.

Because audio production is one of my top priorities right now, I felt that it was necessary to invest in a nice quality pair of headphones. I’ve owned pairs of AKG’s, Sonys, Bose, but I felt that I needed to see what all this hype was about. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the “Beats By Dre” headphones made by Monster so I was reluctant to pay the hefty $299 price tag that went along with it. I held off as long as I could, but in the end, fell victim to their shiny coat of paint and fancy red box that they came in. With my only pair of studio headphones on the fritz I was desperate. So I just purchased them at the advice of my music partner Brandon Hawk and decided to just take a risk.

They’re endorsed by Dre, you can’t go wrong there right? RIGHT!

These headphones are the best pair I’ve ever had. I could sit here and write forever about how great they are, but in all honesty, it’s personal preference. How do you like your sound? “Beats By Dre” cover the entire aural spectrum. They clearly project the highs all the way down to the lows. And I can hear everything at safe levels. My computer volume is less than half right now and I’m getting the same experience as full volume with my Bose and AKG’s. They rely on batteries to power them which is negative points, plus the material feels a bit cheap for the amount of money. But I guess the value is in the sound quality. The package design was well thought out. And the folding method is great. They put a lot of brain power into the design of this product.

Even though I did not get these headphones for PRO mixing, I decided on this pair because I needed something universal. The quality is great enough that I can do some quality studio work, but also mobile enough to use as a day to day set. And the talk enabled cable that is compatible for the iphone is perfect because you can also use the headphones while talking on your mobile. This was a key factor. The AKG 702 that I was also considering is just too bulky to travel with. They are meant for the studio only.

I needed a pair of LIFE headphones. And in my opinion, the BEATS BY DRE set are the way to go, for now.

Chris Brown’s flow is not bad but not sure if he wrote that. If he did he may wanna go that road for a while since singing isn’t working right now for him

JMack killed “Dueces” that beat really stands out to me

The solo record “No Bullshit” by Chris is a really good record, he should make records like this for his album

Chris has used Drake and Wayne as a template for his flow

Overall its a well put together project. I wish them success with upcoming projects
